Today, I amhere to praise something that I treasure the most. All of you may have something you feel that is exceptionally important, that assuages your body and soul to the extent of creating your own happiness. Not everyone’s comfort objects, as I’m aware of, are the same, and neither are our feelings towards it. So let’s discuss this question together, why would we need something so much even if it’s not necessary for instant survival?
For instance, I consider holidays to be the absolute most important event in my life. Why, you may ask? The sensation of cheerfulness, joyfulness, delightfulness, that feeling that motivates you to go on, I could always find it appearing in every holiday I have experienced. Holidays are just like a present for the present; holidays are what people will dream for every night; holidays will make you long for your future life.
According to The Holy Bible, the word ‘holiday’ was first used only to refer to certain religious events, and this concept was driven from the idea that God created earth within six days, and rested on the seventh day; and so the seventh day of the week is considered as a holiday in modern language. Now a question appears, ladies and gentlemen, why would God especially need to make a day for recuperation since he has already finished making the earth? Can’t he rest while he watches the earth evolve throughout the years? We can be sure that any being in the universe would be proud of what they achieve, and the most appropriate time to appreciate that achievement is when you are most free, when you have the most time to enjoy your life, when you realize that everything you have accomplished has lead you to this moment of delight that you have longed for!
The beauty of holidays can be considered as an everlasting balm to soothe a soul. After one holiday, a person’s natural reaction is to look forward to the next holiday, and work hard towards it, which also means it motivates you to work hard for the next holiday.Whilst heading to a holiday, it’s natural to feel relieved after you have finished all your work!
The opposite of holidays, the rest of the days, are also important to maintain a balance of entertainment and occupation. If you had holidays every day, would you still be longing for the next holiday? No, because you are already experiencing it every day and maybe even be sick about it.
We should appreciate, acknowledge and enjoy every holiday there is to come in our lives. As Mr. McDonald says, “Life’s hard, then we die…”, so why not live a happy life instead of a tiring life?
